Parent/Caregiver Support Groups: Our support groups are designed to allow members to meet in an environment that is caring and non-judgmental. Through weekly meetings members discover that other parents/caregivers are experiencing similar challenges, thus decreasing feelings of isolation. Members are able to gain information and encouragement from each other. New parenting techniques are shared. Parent/Caregiver Education: Periodic training sessions are held for parents and Caregivers. These sessions are designed to provide specific information that will increase the parent/caregiver's knowledge base. Topics such as:" Understanding ADHD" and " The use of medication in the management of your child's behavior" are presented in a non-threatening way by experts in these areas of study. Parents are encouraged to ask questions related to their child's specific issues. Certificates of completion are awarded.
