IT Support Specialist
CCTC is looking to hire an IT Support Specialist to support our growing team. The IT Support Specialist will assess technical issues and offer support and assistance to team members who are using software, hardware, or other computer systems and need help completing tasks or troubleshooting problems through diagnostic tests and remote access to their computers.
- Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues including but not limited to internet connectivity, email management troubleshooting, system logins, and resetting passwords
- Use information from team members to diagnose tech issues and walk them through the steps needed to fix various problems
- Install and maintain hardware, software, and other equipment to meet client requirements, routinely observe operational performance, and install security patches and updates when necessary
- Set up computers for new hires
High School diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field preferred.
5+ years of technical support experience.
Knowledge of Windows operating systems
Covid-19 vaccination required.
Strong knowledge of the MS Windows environment including (but not limited to) Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, Exchange
Experience managing Microsoft Office 365, Azure
Experience with Office 365 Security and governance
Experience and interest in Web and email security filtering products
An Understanding of TCP/IP as well as various network devices such as switches routers and firewalls
Technical/Computer Skills: Microsoft operating systems, Apple iOS, Android, Microsoft Exchange online, Microsoft Office 365 suite, Video conferencing technologies, Polycom, Lifesize, Microsoft Teams, Audio conferencing technologies, Video/audio streaming, Remote and/or collaborative web technologies, TCP/IP networking, PowerShell, Active Directory, Wireless technologies, VPN technologies, PC, mobile, and network security, Computer imaging software, and Printing technologies
