Psychiatric Administrator
At Children’s Crisis Treatment Center (CCTC), our staff is dedicated to addressing the impact of childhood traumatic events and other challenges. The Psychiatric Administrator plays a critical role in supporting the operational efficiency of psychiatric services within CCTC. This position is responsible for managing psychiatrist schedules, coordinating coverage, and overseeing the electronic medical records (EMR) of the clients being seen to ensure seamless service delivery and compliance with clinical documentation standards.
Summary of Essential Functions:
- Ensure that the psychiatrists are meeting psychiatric expectations and outcomes
- Coordinate and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly schedules for psychiatrists
- Organize coverage for planned and unplanned absences, including on-call rotations
- Communicate schedule changes to relevant staff and department
- Serve as the primary liaison between psychiatrists and administrative staff, ensuring program initiatives are implemented and maintained
- Facilitate onboarding and orientation for new psychiatric providers
- Monitor and support compliance with organizational policies and procedures
- Manage client discharge within the EMR system
- Train staff and providers on EMR usage and updates
- Collaborate with IT and clinical teams to ensure data integrity and system optimization
- Improve efficiency and quality of all clinical processes by supporting electronic record keeping and data analysis
- Uses data collected to inform psychiatry staff and management of current trends and areas for improvement
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to psychiatric services
- Assist with credentialing and licensing processes for psychiatric staff
- Supports internship program and psychiatric residents by overseeing the communications and ensuring placement requirements are met for each university
- Support quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives
- Other duties as assigned by the Division Director
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Psychology, Social Work, or related field (Master’s preferred).
Minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare administration, preferably in behavioral health or psychiatric services.
Proficiency in EMR systems and scheduling software.
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and behavioral health documentation standards.
Knowledge of psychiatric provider workflows and clinical operations.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Bilingual preferred.
