Behavioral Health Worker – School Based Services

 

At Children’s Crisis Treatment Center (CCTC), our staff is dedicated to addressing the impact of childhood traumatic events and other challenges.  The Behavioral Health Worker will support and follow through with treatment team recommendations in a fast paced environment and meet the needs of the children ages 5-13 and their families presenting with crisis and behavioral health issues in a trauma-informed manner.

Summary of Essential Functions:

• Provide one-to-one or small group interventions to a child at school
• Provide crisis intervention techniques, immediate behavioral reinforcements, emotional support, and time structuring activities when needed
• Attend all required trainings
• Attend mandatory supervision sessions
• Attend daily case review and weekly case conference
• Transport clients, as needed
• Conduct classroom observations, as needed
• Collect observational data, as needed
• Participate in home visits, as needed
• Attend clinical meetings, IEP, and any other relevant meetings pertaining to client care
