CCTC Workshop with the Free Library: Play and Literacy Register
CCTC’s favorite Children’s Librarian, Ms. Chris, is back to talk to us about the important connections between playing and reading. We will learn how play can support literacy development and how YOU can encourage these skills in your children. She will also talk about some of the ways that your neighborhood library can provide playful learning opportunities and share information on the Philadelphia Free Library’s MANY resources and programs (hint: there’s more than just books!)
Presented by Christina Holmes, Branch Manager & Children’s Librarian at Blanche A. Nixon/Cobbs Creek Library
THIS WORKSHOP IS FREE and available to everyone, although pre-registration is required. Most CCTC workshops can be used for one hour of Parenting Education credits. This workshop will be presented in English.
