Overdose Prevention and Reversal Register
Would you recognize if a friend or loved one was experiencing an overdose, and know what to do to help them? You are not powerless!
This 90 minute training will provide some background information on opioid use and overdose statistics within Philadelphia, and help participants learn to recognize and respond to an opioid-related overdose. This will include instructions on using naloxone (Narcan), and ways to obtain some for free.
Workshop will be presented by Elvis Rosado, Harm Reduction Specialist in the Division of Substance Use Prevention and Harm Reduction (Philadelphia Department of Public Health).
Caregivers and staff are encouraged to attend; certificates of attendance will be provided.
THIS WORKSHOP IS FREE and available to everyone, although pre-registration is required. Most CCTC workshops can be used for one hour of Parenting Education credits.
