Talking with Kids About Tough Things in the News and the World Register

Date and Time

12 P.M.

Scary and confusing things happen every day, and it’s only natural that children will hear about them and have questions, even if they are not directly impacted. It can be hard to manage your own feelings while also giving kids the honest answers they deserve. What do you do if you don’t have the answers? What if the information feels too frightening?

There is no definitive guide to these conversations. But Steph will go through some suggested Do’s and Don’ts for Talking About the Tough Things, and the rest of the time will be an active discussion.

Presented by Stephanie Harmelin, LSW, CCTC’s Caregiver Services Coordinator

THIS WORKSHOP IS FREE and available to everyone, although pre-registration is required. Most CCTC workshops can be used for one hour of Parenting Education credits. This workshop will be presented in English.
