The Cornerstone Center

The Cornerstone Center at CCTC is an Acute Partial Hospitalization Program for children ages 5-13, which provides intensive treatment and support to enable children to function successfully in their homes, schools, and communities. The program provides an array of services in a safe and supportive therapeutic environment, while allowing the child to remain in the home. It is both an alternative to inpatient psychiatric hospitalization for children at risk as well as a step-down service for children recently discharged from inpatient care. Our goal is to empower both child and family to address their behavioral health challenges and continue on the path to recovery.

Children’s behavioral health symptoms are viewed in the context of the family and extended community whose members are agents of change. At the core of the program is a multi-disciplinary team that emphasizes strengths and resiliencies of families and communities. Each child’s treatment plan is crafted with input from a child psychiatrist, master’s level clinician, registered nurse, and most importantly, the child and family. We ensure that this plan addresses the needs of the family as well as the child. Through family therapy and care coordination services, this program seeks to help families develop more effective strategies for meeting the behavioral and emotional needs of their children.

Care will be delivered at CCTC’s Cornerstone Center, which includes recreation areas, spacious classrooms equipped with computers, and innovative therapeutic learning tools. Located near public transportation, it is easily accessible to families for intake appointments and family therapy sessions.
