Family-Based Program

CCTC’s Family-Based Program provides support for families who have a child at risk of a hospitalization or other out-of-home placement due to behavioral health challenges. We specialize in helping children and families heal from trauma and we provide Care Coordination services to help families stabilize and stay together during times of extreme crisis.

The Family-Based Program’s approach is based on our belief in the powerful influence of familial relationships on the emotional stability of children. The program provides intensive in-home family therapy that focuses on working collaboratively with the family, eco-systemic structural family therapy, and draws on the family’s unique wisdom and strength through every step of the assessment and treatment process. Our therapists take a team approach to care, collaborating with other community professionals that may be able to provide additional support to families in their time of need.

As a result of this program, families can expect to become more aware of their own strengths and more proficient at drawing on them in helping their child manage behavioral challenges.

CCTC, within the Family-Based Program, has Teams that focus on services to families experiencing trauma, undocumented families and lesbian, gay, bisexual, queer, and transgender (LGBTQ+) families.
